The Client
National Defence College is a pioneer institute of its kind. Aimed at delivering special skills to experienced officers building them as valuable assets for the nation.
The Challenge
To revamp the current look and feel of the existing website to make it Web 2.0 compliant and to develop a comprehensive static site and alumni portal to reach out to their entire past and current student community and engage them with the current updates and happenings. We developed the portal in two main sections:
- 1. NDC Static Site
- 2. NDC Alumni
All these sections are supported by their corresponding content management system, hence allowing the admin to easily manage the application.
The Solution
The two main components of the solution were NDC Static Site (with new features), NDC Alumni Portal (with features like events, forum, blogs, etc).
NDC Static Site
The homepage showing the NDC building and other pictures creates a feel and image of NDC in the minds of visitors.
The site has multiple content pages covering information about varied sections of NDC. The aim was to provide online users with all the necessary and important information about the institute.
The site also provides an option for aspiring course members to register and fill in their application forms online. Course members can login into the system to interact with fellow course members via messaging, can search/view course member’s bio-data and other details. Also, the vendors willing to work with NDC can register themselves on the site.
